Dennis M. Lavin, age 60, of Mickelton N.J., formerly of Chichester, passed away on January 22, 2012. Mr. Lavin was a 1969 graduate of Chichester High School and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He also enjoyed salt water fishing, spending time with his family and traveling to Cancun. Mr. Lavin was the beloved husband of Suzzane Travis Lavin; dear father of Shaun, Colleen, Kevin and the late Maureen Lavin; dear brother of Nancy Olsen, William Lavin, Maureen Christopher, Daniel Lavin, Patricia Berry and the late Rev. Martin E. Lavin; son of the late Martin and Anna Burns Lavin; also survived by 6 grandchildren; Alexia Lavin, Travis Gordon, Kaylee Gordon, Caila and Cassidy Fencl and Violet Lavin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation Thursday evening from 7-9pm and Friday after 8:30 am at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home 301 Chester Pike Norwood. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, South Ave., Secane. Interment with military honors will follow in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Maureen Lavin Scholarship Fund - Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians #61 - 4131 Rhawn Street - Philadelphia PA 19136.
